Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Angry IP Scanner
Android application (package name org.angryip.ipscan, the "App").
It explains what information the App handles and how.
1. Information We Collect
None. The App does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information or usage data. All network scanning is performed locally on your device, and scan results never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them yourself.
2. Permissions the App Uses
INTERNET— required to perform ping, port, and host scans against IP addresses on your network. This is the App's core function.FOREGROUND_SERVICE/FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE— allows a scan you start to keep running reliably until it finishes.POST_NOTIFICATIONS— shows scan progress and completion notifications. Optional; the App works without it.
The App requests no access to your location, contacts, storage, camera, microphone, or any other personal data.
3. Third-Party Services
The App contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs, and communicates with no servers operated by the developer or any third party.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Because the App collects no data, there is nothing held by the developer to retain or delete. Scan history and settings exist only on your device and are removed by uninstalling the App.
5. Changes to This Policy
If the App's behavior changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated before the change ships. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
6. Contact
